Fit 2.5″ & 3.5″ Drives

Preparation for fitting drives

6#32 used for 3.5" drives

M3 thumbscrews used for 2.5" drives

Remove PCIe screws to install drives

Whilst the majority of systems are now using M.2 drives, the BC1 can still accommodate 2.5″ and 3.5″ drives.

There are 2 slots (or 4, depending on how you perceive them) that are used to store the PCIe screws but also function as mount points for drives.

In order to use them for drive mounting, the PCIe screws must first be removed. This is done by unscrewing the nut at the top of each screw.

Installing the drives

3.5" drive

2.5" drive

6#32 Thumbscrew

M3 Thumbscrew

Position the drives vertically under the table and align them with the slots, then using either the 6#32 or M3 thumbscrews, secure them directly to the underside of the table.

There are 2 slots for a total of 2 drives, 1 x 3.5″ and 1 x 2.5″
