The F7C is a compact, space efficient ITX case with a clean aesthetic, simple curved panel design with a good balance of hardware support for lower power desktop builds. Being just 6l in volume, its still features support for low profile cards and 3.5″ drives, including an optical version for media application. Constructed entirely from high grade aluminium extrusions that are precision CNC’d then finished with a sandblasted texture and anodizing sealing process, giving this small enclosure a premium finish that will complement any enviroment.
Version 3 (AKA Alpha) shares the same upgraded all aluminium construction and single piece extruded top panel design as its fanless brother the FC8 Alpha, but being actively cooled, we upgraded its cooling potential. It now features room for a larger 92mm side panel fan and extra headroom for larger CPU coolers*. The bottom panel vents have also been optimized to improve airflow around the motherboard, helping to reduced internal temperature.
The drive tray has been totally re-design making it easier to install yet more versatile than ever, and now supports 2 x 3.5″* (up from just 1) whilst still having room for an optical drive and 2.5″ drive. If you prefer the non-optical version, there is room for an additional 2.5″ drive, taking the full capacity up to 5 x 2.5″ or 2 x 2.5″ + 2 x 3.5″ drives*. The tray also features variable drive position and orientation mounting, so you can optimally position your drives.
As with all Alpha cases, USB3.0 is native, the power LED is now a subtle pure white colour and it is available with and without an optical drive opening.
All these improvements to the finish and hardware support make the F7C Alpha an unrivaled enclosure for building a stylish, compact yet powerful system.
In keeping with the Evo range ethos, the FC7 Evo brings a new level of refinement to our classic F7C chassis. Its high grade aluminium extrusion body now features our fine sandblast finish and the front USB ports have been upgraded to support USB3.0*. Internal changes include easier drive assembly, support for an additional 2.5” drive and a universal optical drive eject button for added compatibility.
With is clean, simple lines, ability to support larger components such as 3.5” hard drive and low profile expansion card, the F7C Evo is perfect for building compact yet powerful systems.
The original F7C was introduced in 2011 and in addition to the USB and IR window, featured a front media bay for SD cards. The overall look was similar but the finish was brushed aluminium with a high gloss anodized surface treatment.

Features
EXTRUDED AND PRECISION MILLED PANELS
Unlike the majority of cases on the market (even the aluminium ones) the panels of the F7C are constructed using a meticulous process of extruding aluminium profiles that are then precision milling, hand polishing, sandblasting and finished using anodizing. This give an ultra premium look, feel and finish to all the parts.
COMPACT FOOTPRINT THAT WILL COMPLIMENT ANY ENVIRONMENT
With a volume of only 6l and the all aluminium premium construction, the F7C can be used in virtually any environment and is perfectly suited as a compact desktop or media center PC.
COMPACT YET EXPANDABLE
Whilst the size of the F7C has been kept down to a minimum, there is still enough space to allow for a single low profile expansion card, opening up the possibilities for a wide range of peripherals and even discreet graphics.
KEEP COOL
Despite its compact size and hardware density, the F7C still manages to find space for a single 92mm exhaust/intake fan (depending on positive or negative pressure cooling setup) and can accept a cooler height of up to 55mm if not using 3.5″ drives.

Support
- Can I leave out the drive tray and use a taller CPU cooler? It is possible to leave out the drive tray and gain an additional 20mm of height, but its not recommend as the tray is integral to the rigidity of the front and real panels.
- Why are no fans included with the case?Streacom doesn't design or manufacture fans and therefor we would simply be sourcing another supplier's fans and charging you extra for that whilst also forcing our own choice of make and model instead of leaving that to the individual
- Can I get a customised version of this case made?Whilst we are considered in many ways a boutique manufacturer, its not possible for us to produce customised versions of our cases as one-offs or in limited numbers to cater for individual requirements and modifications. We are however able to offer a customisation service for businesses (OEM / ODM) and depending on the product and type of modification, this becomes viable at relatively low volumes.
- What if I have a question that is not listed? If you can't find the information you need, please send us a message using the 'Get in Touch' link at the top right of the page, choose the appropriate department and we will respond with the relevant information.
