The SG10 is an ambitious product designed to push the boundaries of fanless technology and create a gaming case capable of cooling high-performance CPUs and GPUs without fans. This collaboration between Streacom and Calyos is also aimed at showcasing the application of loop heat pipe technology in PC cooling and represents the first step in creating a viable mainstream high-performance solid-state alternative to water cooling solutions.
It would not be right to introduce the SG10 without mentioning the NSGS0, which was launched as a Kickstarter Project by Calyos in 2018. This was its spiritual successor, and whilst it did not make it to market, it set the project in motion. The SG10 represents a complete redesign from that original proposition, which was essential to meet the significantly higher cooling requirements of current generation hardware and deliver the vision of the ‘Ultimate Fanless Gaming PC Case’.
The SG10 can provide an incredible 600W of total combined cooling for the CPU and GPU without any fans or moving parts. The SG10 uses a type of phase change cooling technology called Loop Heat Pipe (LHP) to deliver this unparalleled performance. Unlike traditional heat pipes, where the phase change of the working fluid happens in opposing directions within the tube, the LHP phase change cycle occurs in a continuous flow around the loop, significantly improving the performance.
Whilst loop heat pipes are not a new concept, what is new and what makes this LHP different is both the patented design of the evaporator developed by Calyos and the highly optimised condenser designed by Streacom. This cooperation and ability to combine design and manufacturing expertise were critical and fundamental to its development.
Beyond the groundbreaking fanless cooling performance, the case is an impressive engineering piece. It is a functional industrial design with a bold and angular look that is a refreshing contrast from the typical ‘RGB fan ring’ focused PC case trend. The construction combines our renowned sandblasted anodised finish machined aluminium with a steel support structure and tempered glass panels that showcase the hardware and cooling technology inside.
Many other unique features make this case special, such as the diagonal fully adjustable motherboard and GPU mounting system or the modular IO panels that can be placed anywhere along the case’s front or back (that are actually symmetrical). Compatibility has also been an important consideration with a modular approach to GPU cooling that will allow for broader brand/model support over time.
The initial production batch will comprise entirely the limited SG10 copper edition, with all subsequent cases being available in two-tone silver/black or all-black colour variants.

At the heart of the SG10 and what makes this cooling performance possible is the Loop Heat Pipe (LHP) system inside. Unlike traditional heat pipes, where the phase change of the working fluid happens in opposing directions within the tube, the LHP phase change cycle happens in a continuous flow around the loop. The core technology that makes this possible is the Evaporator, it features a patented solid state (no moving parts) capillary pump that creates a pressurised vapour flow into the condenser, where it cools back into a liquid then flows to the evaporator where the cycle repeats.
X-FRAME MODULAR BRACKETS
The SG10 takes flexibility to the next level with the ability to fully adjust the X & Y position of the motherboard and GPU with complete freedom. This level of adjustment combined with the flexible LHP tubes means that compatibility far exceeds what is possible with previous heat pipe cooling. A great example of this flexibility is the ability to install two Mini-ITX motherboards (and two PSUs) if a discreet GPU is not required, creating a dual-system fanless PC.
VERSATILE CPU MOUNTING
As the LHP and entire cooling solution are integral parts of the case, it was essential to create a versatile mounting solution that could be easily adapted in the future should the socket specifications change once again. The included solution is highly modular and allows rapid adaption to new hole locations and z-height requirements.
MODULAR GPU COOLING
One of the biggest challenges for this product has been GPU compatibility. To overcome the issue of vastly different layouts and component placement, we have adopted a modular approach with independent GPU DIE, VRAM and VRM cooling fixtures. The VRM uses independent heat sinks, and the VRAM is cooled with the DIE via custom cold plates.
GOING BEYOND 600W
The groundbreaking fanless cooling performance of 600W is impressive, but what if high-end components require more? Rather than create an all-or-nothing scenario, the SG10 can accommodate fans, giving a 15-20% increase in cooling performance whilst still allowing for near-silent operation. 120mm fans are natively supported by the rails, and larger fans can be used with brackets.
MOVEABLE AND EXPANDABLE IO MODULES
Don’t like the location of the power button / front ports? No problem! It can be positioned virtually anywhere on the front (or back) of the case as it can be secured anywhere along the slates and between any two. Additional IO modules will also be available to add options for more ports based on customer feedback.
Universal brackets are back, once again giving incredible control over the positioning of auxiliary components. A fanless build would not be complete without a matching fanless PSU, which is likely to be larger and heavier than comparable actively cooled ones. Fortunately, the SG10 has plenty of room for an extra large PSUand with the open architecture and ability to fully adjust the location and spacing, this won’t be a problem. For those that still want mechanical drives or 2.5″ format SSDs, the universal brackets allow for those to be fitted in multiple locations along the rails.
