Fitting Dampers on the Flexible Lines

The Damper

To address the sound of vapour as it flows through the out line of the evaporator, we have introduced a rubber damper to the case accessories. This consists of a molded rubber cylinder that fits over the flexible line, reducing resonance and vibrations that travel along it. The kit also includes C-Clips that fit between the ribs of the damper to secure it in place.

C-Clips

We include 3 C-clips per damper. All 3 can be installed or just 2 on either side, depending on preference. A total of 4 dampers are included for each case (2 for each evaporator out line)

Installing the Dampers

Squeeze the damper closed around the line and use the C-Clips to lock it in place by fitting them onto the damper between the ridges.

Damper Location

The ideal location to install the dampers is shown below. If installing just a single damper, it should be placed close to the condenser side of the vapour tube where it starts to bend towards the evaporator.
If using both dampers, the second one should be installed closer to the evaporator side of the vapour tube, again, close to where it bends towards the condenser.
