Glass Side Panels

Overview

The two tempered glass side panels on the SG10 are identical and you dont need to consider the correct “up” orientation, only make sure the printed edge is facing inwards. They feature a toolless design that secures the glass against grooves cut into the upper and lower blocks of the case.

When installing or removing the side panels, the correct location to hold them is either side as shown. This will make it easier to handle and position onto the case.

Silicon Pad

The case uses silicon pads embedded in each corner of the frame to help secure the glass side panel.

Installing the Panels

Place the glass side panel against the top inner edge of the case (against the silicon pads). The lower side of the panel should be slightly away from the lower edge of the case (shallow angle).

Slide the panel upwards making sure its correctly centred with the case so that both upper corners slot inside the edge of the case. Make sure to keep the lower edge of the panel close to the case.

Push the lower edge of the panel so that it clears the edge of the case feet and makes contact with the lower silicon pads.

Push the panel downwards so that it locks into the grove in the feet. As with the top corners of the panel, make sure the bottom corners are correctly positioned between both feet ends.

Do not force the glass side panel, it should move comfortably into the groove.

Rest the side panel against the silicon pads

Slide the side panel upwards until it makes contact with the upper edge. Make sure to keep the angle of the side panel small, so its almost vertical.

With the upper edge correctly positioned, swing the lower edge towards the case

The gap and tolerances are small, so make sure the case is on a level surface as this could impact the clearance.

The lower edge of the glass side panel should now be resting against the rubber pads

The gap and tolerances are small, so make sure the case is on a level surface as this could impact the clearance.

Slide the side glass panel down into the groove of the foot to lock it in place

Make sure its correctly seated all the way to bottom of the groove.

Removing the Panels

This is effectively the reverse of installing them. Holding the side panel on either side, slide it upwards until it reaches the upper stop position.

Swing the lower edge of the panel away from the bottom of the case, so that it just clears the edge.

Do not move it too far away from the case as this will pinch the upper edge of the side panel and could cause damage.

Slide the side panel downwards, again making sure to keep the angle small, just enough to clear the lower edge.

The upper edge of the side panel should now be free from the case and the entire panel can be removed.
